Westfield Insurance has expanded its commercial operations, which includes business insurance, workers' compensation, and agribusiness and farm insurance coverages, into North Carolina and South Carolina.

As part of the expansion, a new service office has opened in Ballantyne Corporate Park, in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to making local Westfield contacts available for quicker claim processing and customer support, the new Charlotte office serves as the base for Westfield’s field managers to train new claims representatives as they prepare to guide customers through the claims process, answer questions and offer support during difficult times.

Westfield risk control specialists will also work from this location as they perform site visits, identify lost cost reduction opportunities, administer a variety of safety plans and develop self-inspection programs.

Westfield has appointed 14 agencies with 23 locations in North Carolina to provide service to new Westfield policyholders. Agents representing Westfield are carefully selected for their professionalism, knowledge, integrity and commitment to their important role as a partner with Westfield and Westfield policyholders.

Chris Paterakis, Westfield’s commercial lines executive, said: We decided to expand operations to North and South Carolina because of the significant opportunity to diversify and grow in businesses, markets and products that align with our customer profile. We look forward to the opportunity to work with customers to strengthen their insurance coverage and manage risk for their businesses.
