Wells Fargo Insurance Services has appointed John Grotts as senior vice president and business development manager for its San Francisco Bay Area region. He will be based in the firm's San Francisco office.
In his new role, Mr Grotts will be responsible for cross-selling Wells Fargo Insurance Services in the Bay Area region. Additionally, he will lead a team of account executives in the San Francisco commercial lines department.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Mr Grotts was CEO of Willis Insurance Services of California where he improved customer retention, revenues and profit margin. He also served as a regional director for Aon Risk Services and was responsible for 11 middle market offices in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Louisiana.
David Wood, senior vice president and regional managing director for Wells Fargo Insurance Service’s west region, said: John has had a long, successful career in San Francisco and is very well respected in our industry. He has been a fixture in and around the Bay Area business community for more than 20 years and I am truly excited that he has joined the Wells Fargo team.
