Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, a part of Wells Fargo & Company, has named John Meder as regional managing director for its Midwest region, which includes Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Missouri.
In his role, Meder will lead sales efforts, cross sell initiatives, and expansion of the region’s employee benefits practice. He will be based in Cleveland and report to Kevin Kenny, East area brokerage manger for Wells Fargo Insurance Services.
Before joining Wells Fargo, Meder was head of Wachovia Insurance Services’ Ohio operations and also led the company’s Real Estate Industry Practice.
Prior to joining Wachovia, he was senior vice president and member of the executive committee for the Ohio operations of Marsh, where he held various positions including client executive, middle market department manager, and Cleveland sales leader.
Wells Fargo Insurance Services provides solutions to customers across the spectrum, from personal insurance for homeowners to risk management solutions for the Fortune 2,000.
Kenny said under his leadership, the business will continue to grow as the firm work to address the customers’ insurance needs in this very important market.
