WellPoint, a commercial health benefits company, has appointed Kevin Hayden as the new president of its state sponsored business division.
WellPoint’s state sponsored business is one of the Medicaid managed care organization, serving more than two million members enrolled in Medicaid, State Children’s Health Insurance Programs, and other publicly funded health care programs for low income and/or high medical risk individuals.
In his new role, Mr Hayden will be responsible for leading WellPoint’s Medicaid business division.
Prior to joining WellPoint, Mr Hayden served as secretary of the Department of Health and Family Services for the State of Wisconsin. In this role, he was responsible for leading all public health and care delivery services to over 900,000 residents.
