W. R. Berkley has appointed Alejandro Jiménez as presidente ejectutivo of W. R. Berkley Insurance (Europe), Limited Sucursal en España (W. R. Berkley España), a capital based specialist insurer.
Jiménez will report directly to W. R. Berkley Insurance (Europe), Limited (WRBIEL) chief executive officer Stuart Wright and succeeds Javier Esteban, who served as presidente ejecutivo from 1 December 2009 to 1 September 2012.
W. R. Berkley Corporation chairman of the board and chief executive officer William R. Berkley said that Javier will now serve as consultant and is likely to join the Board of WRBIEL in the near future as a non-executive director, subject to regulatory approval.
