Voltage to provide data security for ING Canada

International data protection provider Voltage Security has entered into an agreement with finance group ING Canada to provide data security solutions for all of ING's business units, including ING insurance and ING Wealth Management.

The implementation of Voltage SecureMail solution will be configured for more than 7,000 ING Canada employees and will be used to protect the privacy of communications with external business partners.

Secure email is a synergy initiative in which ING Canada played a leadership role, said Minaz Sarangi, vice president of architecture at ING Canada. Although we looked at the legacy secure email solutions before selecting Voltage, they won our business based on simplicity and ease of use for the end user. The low impact on our IT operations and ability to satisfy our complex requirements were also determining factors.
