Universal Insurance Services of Florida, a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Financial Partners, has appointed Julie Smith to the newly-created post of director of marketing.

Smith’s primary responsibilities will be linked directly to Universal’s strategic plan and will include creating and implementing an innovative and integrated relationship focused marketing strategy.

One of her first priorities at firm will be to roll out a new website along with several sales tools for the firm’s advisors in the next several months.

Smith has 18 years of experience in the advertising and marketing industry, working on both the agency and client sides, in industries ranging from real estate to retail.

Universal CEO Michael Sorensen said Julie is the ideal candidate for this new position at UIS, she brings a new level of energy and passion to the industry and her experience and creativity will be an incredible asset to the firm.
