UnitedHealthcare, a provider of health benefit plans and services, has announced that it is launching Catalyst Choice, an alternative to catastrophic health plans for small and medium-sized businesses in Kentucky, US.
UnitedHealthcare said that Catalyst Choice enables employers with up to 250 employees to offer more affordable health care coverage for their employees and the opportunity for employees to customize their benefits based on their specific individual health care needs and budgets.
Dan Krajnovich, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Kentucky, said: By combining low-cost employer-subsidized catastrophic coverage with first-dollar voluntary consumer options, we believe Catalyst Choice will enable more businesses in Kentucky to offer employee health benefit coverage and more employees the flexibility to tailor their benefits based on their own health care needs and budgets.
