United Property and Casualty Insurance Company (UPC), a wholly-owned subsidiary United Insurance, has inked a multi-year agreement to implement Symbility into its operations.

UPC claims vice president John Langowski said, "Symbility will provide us the tools we need to reduce the amount of time it takes to resolve claims and to provide real-time assessment on how claims are handled by our field partners."

"Its adaptability with other applications also enables us to use other tools and resources that will further our goals in being the claims operation that our customers and agents want."

As per terms of the contract, the underwriter will implement Claims Connect, which will enable the insurer to maintain control and visibility of claims throughout the claim lifecycle.

It is a web-based workflow management system, which does not require installation of any external hardware and software.

The company will also implement Mobile Claims technology, to boost its adjuster and third-party contractor productivity by using the most sensitive field estimating technology to quickly and accurately generate on-site estimates.

Formed in 1999, UPC delivers property and casualty insurance products and services in Florida, South Carolina, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
