Company has appointed David Piesse as chairman of Asia Pacific operations
UniRisX, LLC, a US-based SaaS provider of global insurance services, has appointed David Piesse as chairman of Asia Pacific operations.
Mr. Piesse will head the global on-demand insurance provider’s Asia Pacific customer expansion efforts from the organisation’s newly established Hong Kong office.
David Hollander, CEO of UniRisX, said: “David’s in-depth financial services, information technology, risk management and telecommunications experience in the global and Asia Pacific markets make him uniquely qualified to lead UniRisX’s operations in the region.”
Mr. Piesse, who most recently headed the global insurance and financial services, Asia Pacific practice for Sun Microsystems, brings over 30 years of global experience to UniRisX. He expertises in bancAssurance, Islamic insurance, microinsurance, brokerage, agency and non-financial channels within global/APAC markets, plus entry of insurance into social networks.
Mr. Piesse began his career at Lloyd’s of London and has since held positions of increasing responsibility across the Asia Pacific market, specializing in China, India, Japan, Australia and Southeast Asia.
