Uni-Ter Underwriting Management, a provider of range of insurance, reinsurance, and alternative risk transfer solutions, has appointed Jonna Miller as vice president for claims, who is currently senior claims examiner.
Before joining Uni-Ter, Miller was litigation supervisor and branch manager of Caronia Corporation in Atlanta.
Her specialty is physicians and surgeons malpractice insurance. She also has experience handling claims for long-term care facilities and hospitals.
Uni-Ter is a mnanaging general underwriter that builds and administers Risk Retention Groups (RRG) in the healthcare industry.
RRGs managed by Uni-Ter provide liability insurance to long-term care facilities and nurses in 48 states and medical malpractice insurance for physicians/surgeons in New York and neighboring states.
Uni-Ter chief operating and financial officer Donna Dalton said Jonna will be responsible for claims services to RRGs managed by the company.
"Since joining Uni-Ter in early 2009, Jonna has demonstrated outstanding skills in handling all types of healthcare liability claims. She is well qualified to manage our claims department," Dalton said.
