Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions, a provider of payroll-deducted voluntary benefits, has said that a full range of worksite critical illness (CI) and insurance benefits will be available to employees' spouses as well as dependents through their employer.

Trustmark has added that critical illness insurance provides a lump-sum payment upon diagnosis of a covered critical illness. The lump-sum benefit can be used to fill in gaps left by major medical insurance, including follow-up care, travel to medical facilities, co-payments and other out-of-pocket medical and prescription costs.

According to the Trustmark, its critical illness insurance offers high benefit amounts, a health screening benefit, a membership to Best Doctors and the option to elect guaranteed coverage increases through EZValue.

The company has added that its Double Benefit covers a second critical illness and Occupational HIV to some industries as a covered illness. It also offer the portability of the policy to other company when the employee leave their place of employment.

Dave Cirulis, vice president of sales and marketing at Trustmark, said: As of July, we provide a more flexible critical illness insurance product that is offered to spouses and dependent family members.

”Not only do we offer a 100% CI benefit to other family members now, but we have extended our scope by adding scaled benefit amounts to choose from as well, which provides a range of very affordable premiums.
