Transamerica Brokerage, a marketing unit of Transamerica Life Insurance Company (TLIC) has promoted its chief marketing officer Michael Babikian as its new executive vice president.
Babikian, who will report to Transamerica president Marty Flewellen, has also been named chief product officer of Transamerica’s Life & Protection division to continue his overall responsibility for the division’s product research, development, management and administration.
Flewellen said since joining the company nine years ago, Babikian has proven to be an incredible asset for its general agencies, life insurance producers and customers.
Babikian was named senior vice president in 2009 and chief marketing officer in January 2010.
Babikian served as general counsel to Infinite Source Technologies, and worked as an attorney for the tax law firm of Baker, Olson, LeCroy and Danielian prior to joining Transamerica.
He is also a board member of the Chief Marketing Officer Council and serves as chairman of the board of directors and as professor at Glendale University.
