Towers Watson, a New York-based professional services company, has appointed Brendan Osean as new vice president, property insurance, in its insurance brokerage business.

In his role, Osean will be responsible for overseeing the design and placement of commercial property insurance programs for US and international companies, as well as those firms that maintain US, Bermuda and European captives. He will be based in Towers Watson’s Parsippany office, New Jersey.

Osean will join Towers Watson from Wells Fargo Insurance Services (WFIS), where, as New York property practice leader, he led the marketing, placement and servicing of commercial insurance for a number of firms, including several Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining WFIS, he was group leader of the New Jersey property and international practice for Marsh, part of the Marsh & McLennan Co’s.

Towers Watson’s insurance brokerage business leader Steve Levene said the addition of Brendan underscores the commitment to the insurance brokerage business and also reflects the increase in demand from clients for the breadth and depth of our offerings in this important space.
