BGL Group has signed a five-year agreement with Insurance intermediary Towergate, to manage motor claims for approximately 2,00,000 customers of the consolidator's broker distribution network.

BGL group legal services director David Downie was quoted by Post Online as saying, "Insurers and brokers today are increasingly seeking to offer exceptional end-to-end claims services, at what can often be a difficult time for the customer.

"BGL Legal Services is pleased to be able to provide a fully compliant and customer-centric commercial model in a post-Laspo world.

"We will continue to work closely with Towergate to ensure the new model is a success across its 100-strong branch network," Downie told the news portal.

Under the new agreement, BGL will centralize claims customer handling on Towergate’s behalf, to ensure hassle free services to policyholders when they first make contact to report an incident and as their claim progresses, according to the news agency.

With over 5,000 employees, across more than 120 UK offices, Towergate offers a range of over 200 general and specialist insurance products for niche markets ranging from holiday homes to private helicopters.
