Torus, a provider of commercial, professional and specialty insurance and reinsurance products, has appointed Michael Kim as global head of project management, based in Jersey City. Kim will also be a member of its executive management team.
Kim will report to global chief operating officer, chief executive of Torus Specialty and chief underwriting officer for US Specialty Naveen Anand.
Kim will be responsible for driving the various major projects that were initiated by Torus in 2008. He will be working along with Torus management to understand specific strategies, prioritize, and adopt the solutions that will help in making its strategies successful.
Anand said that Michael’s varied background will be a real asset to Torus. He has extensive background in consulting, including stints with Towers Perrin, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and First Manhattan Consulting Group, and most recently served as chief technology officer of The Hartford’s property casualty company.
