Steve Herrig, CEO of SUNZ Insurance Company, has announced the appointment of Therese A. Stevens as president of the company.

An insurance executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in the workers’ compensation industry, Stevens most recently completed a five-year tenure as President and CEO of Normandy Insurance Company.

Her service to Normandy focused on broadening its client base and increasing both profits and surplus while reducing its loss ratio.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Herrig stated, "Terri’s proven expertise as a senior executive will be especially valuable as we continue to strategically grow our company. Her commitment to exceptional customer service and mitigating costs related to claims is reflective of the corporate culture imbedded here at SUNZ. We are pleased to welcome Terri as a leader of our dynamic team."

Stevens earned her Bachelor of Science degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. She has an active 220 license and has been a featured writer and speaker at industry events.

"Joining Sunz at such a pivotal time during this stage of growth is especially compelling to me," Stevens said. "I look forward to making a meaningful contribution to the company and supporting the corporate philosophy of providing unparalleled service to current and prospective clients and its dedication to controlling the costs associated with claims."
