The Hartford Financial Services Group has appointed Grace Figueredo as the new vice president of diversity and inclusion.
In her new role, Figueredo will report to the company’s executive vice president of human resource and will be a strategic head in advancing diversity, inclusion and cultural awareness.
Figueredo will also be accountable for developing strategies that drive employee engagement and extend contemporary work practices to meet the needs of business and employees.
Figueredo most recently served as director of workforce diversity at United Technologies, where she set diversity vision and strategy for it, leading a structural and cultural transformation.
Whelley said that the company recognizes that having a workforce that reflects diversity of customers its serves, and communities in which it operates, is critical to its business success and Grace is a welcome addition to the team.
