Mr. Ingram will focus on driving the overall IT strategy for The Hartford's property and casualty operations

The Hartford Financial Services Group, an insurance-based financial services company in US, has appointed Robert Ingram as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) of its property and casualty operations’ IT organisation.

Robert Ingram will report to Brian O’Connell, CIO of The Hartford’s enterprise.

Mr. Ingram will focus on driving the overall IT strategy for The Hartford’s property and casualty operations. In addition, he will work with Mr. O’Connell to accelerate The Hartford’s enterprise IT agenda.

Mr. Ingram has over 27 years of experience in technology and insurance, most recently serving as executive vice president and CIO at Safeco Corporation. Throughout his career, he has led a number of strategic technology projects focussed on cost rationalisation, legacy system consolidation, and strategic partnerships.
