AXA Assistance UK has extended its partnership with The Royal British Legion (the Legion) to provide motor breakdown insurance to its members and supporters.

AXA Assistance provides roadside recovery and homestart services across the UK and Europe at specially discounted rates. The company has provided its motor breakdown cover to the Legion for 7 years and is one of the charity’s longest running insurance affinity schemes.

The motor breakdown service is offered to the 303,000 members and supporters of the Legion through Poppy Insure, an online insurance portal with products from carefully selected affinity partners

In addition to providing discounted premium rates, AXA Assistance also donates 8% of the premium from each breakdown policy sold to the charity, which provides financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their families.

Kelly Ward, Sales & Marketing Director at AXA Assistance, said: "We are delighted to be extending our long-term partnership with the Legion. This scheme is an example of how our commitment to providing relevant products, and delivering measurable added-value to our clients and their customers, works in practice."

Kelly Ward continued: "Over the years, we have been proud to support the valuable work of The Legion and are pleased to be able continue this support, especially during the centenary of the First World War, through our continued involvement with Poppy Insure."

Louise Ajdukiewicz, Head of Corporate Partnerships at The Royal British Legion, said: "AXA Assistance is a supportive and generous affinity partner. Their approach and the quality of their products reflect our aim to offer members and supporters access to valuable benefits that also actively support our work."

The motor breakdown cover is underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance, the underwriting arm and a fully owned subsidiary of AXA Assistance.
