The Lincoln, Nebraska-based League of Nebraska Municipalities (LONM) and the League Association of Risk Management (LARM), has selected JI Companies, a Texas-based risk management and workers' compensation services company, to serve as the new program administrator for LARM.

Under this mandate, JI will be responsible for underwriting and rating, policy issuance, policyholder services, claims administration and claims handling, accounting and financial services, marketing / sales and membership field services, reinsurance placement, and program management services.

JI will provide over 15 FTEs, including nine dedicated professionals, in Austin, Texas, and Lincoln to service this account.

LONM founded LARM, an intergovernmental risk pool, in 1995 to provide a long-term, stable, cost-effective risk management alternative for members of the LONM.

LARM provides workers’ compensation, general, automobile, errors & omissions, law enforcement and excess liability, as well as automobile physical damage, property, inland marine, and boiler and machinery coverages for its Nebraska member cities.

JI CEO and president Francis Fey said the company bring a new level of online claim systems, with all claim details viewable and all documentation fully imaged. This includes online claim submission and full online reports.

"We are also facilitating a fresh approach to customizing coverages and improved pricing strategies to continue to expand the program. The expanded risk management, loss control / safety and training offerings will be attractive to all sizes of municipalities," Fey said.
