Texas Mutual Insurance has decided to deploy Guidewire DataHub and InfoCenter, in a bid to improve its enterprise-wide data management and business intelligence strategies.

DataHub and InfoCenter is said to replace Texas Mutual’s internally-built system, allowing the firm to easily access and understand for its users.

Guidewire Software America sales group vice-president Steve Sherry said: "We look forward to helping them realize their goal of gaining access to insights and data from across their business."

Guidewire DataHub is an operational data store, which unifies, standardizes and stores data from the typical patchwork of an insurer’s systems and from external sources.

Developed for the property and casualty industry as a business intelligence warehouse, Guidewire InfoCenter will provide information in easy to use formats for business intelligence, analysis, and enhanced decision making.

DataHub and InfoCenter will help Texas Mutual to improve the ease of doing business for staff through the deployment of self-service options, which will allow them to access reports and conduct queries independently.

It will also help to better map and convert data through the full InsuranceSuite product line and offer a single view of data to users across the organization, including claims, finance and underwriting.

In 2014, Texas Mutual deployed Guidewire ClaimCenter and is also currently implementing PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.

According to the firm, DataHub and InfoCenter will be implemented concurrently with PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
