Tesco Home Insurance is planning to offer customers an automatic 10% increase in their contents cover for the Christmas festive season.
The offer will run from December 1, 2007 until the January 15, 2008 and is on top of any other discounts on the policy. Tesco suggests customers to keep receipts and photos of your gifts as this will assist greatly in any claim. It also suggests contacting insurer to make sure that you are covered, after buying an expensive gift.
Allan Burns, head of Tesco Home Insurance, said: Over the Christmas period, when homes are full of gifts, it’s sensible for consumers to make their houses as secure as possible. We aim to make it a less stressful time by increasing customers’ cover at no extra charge.
