Symetra Life Insurance Company has appointed Richard LaVoice as the new executive vice president of sales and distribution for its life insurance and annuity products.
In his new role, LaVoice will be responsible for distribution strategy, sales, Symetra Investment Services, channel marketing and sales operations, and will report to the company’s president and CEO Tom Marra.
Most recently, LaVoice served as corporate vice president and national sales manager of retirement income at MassMutual Financial Group.
Previously, LaVoice held sales leadership positions at UBS Financial Services, SunAmerica Retirement Markets, Bear Stearns & Co, and Shearson/Smith Barney.
Marra said that Richard’’s industry knowledge, leadership capability and incredible personal energy will be great assets to the company as we pursue new distribution opportunities and leverage the network we already have in place.
