Symetra Life Insurance, a subsidiary of Symetra Financial, has appointed Phil Bouvier as vice president of life insurance sales, effective 11 July 2011.
Bouvier will be responsible for increasing sales of Symetra’s advanced planning individual life insurance products through new distribution outlets, including brokerage general agencies and independent life professionals. He will also assemble a new wholesaling team.
In this role, he will report to Jon Curley, executive vice president of Symetra’s life division.
Most recently, Bouvier was national vice president, individual insurance division at Sun Life Financial in Boston. He also served atJohn Hancock Life Insurance for 15 years in various in sales and management roles.
Curley said as Symetra expand life insurance product portfolio, Phil will build a network of brokerage general agencies and independent life professionals to bring these new products to more consumers.
"Along with Mike Tinsley, our new life product development leader, we have assembled an experienced team to drive our product and distribution efforts," Curley said.
