Symetra Life Insurance, a subsidiary of Washington-based Symetra Financial, has selected Wyde's Wynsure system as the end-to-end administration solution for its expanding group life and disability income insurance business.

Symetra Life said that the first phase of the project, scheduled to be implemented this year, will cover new business and policy administration.

Upon completion of the deployment, Wynsure will support policy quoting, underwriting, policy administration and claims.

Symetra group division executive vice president Michael Fry said with plans to expand Symetra’s group life and disability income insurance operation, the company need an integrated systems solution to support as it grows. Wynsure will be a key component of this important growth initiative.

Wyde is the maker of Wynsure, a software suite for group and individual life/health/annuity insurers and personal and commercial lines property-casualty insurance companies in the North America and Europe.

Symetra provides employee benefits, annuities and life insurance through a national network of benefit consultants, financial institutions, and independent agents and advisors.
