Swett & Crawford, a US-based independent wholesale broker, has appointed Farrah Schubmehl as property broker to its Chicago office.
Schubmehl comes to Swett & Crawford from the Willis North America Nashville office where she placed coverage for complex property and catastrophe exposures in the US and abroad.
She has worked as an underwriter and broker in both the retail and wholesale segments of the insurance industry.
Schubmehl also served as assistant vice president of underwriting for Mid Continent Casualty Insurance in Tulsa, Oklahoma and as a production underwriting manager for deep South Surplus of Tennessee, a managing general agency.
Swett & Crawford Chicago office division and sales leader Mike Brennan said Farrah’s brokering and underwriting experience, as well as the depth of her retail contacts, will be extremely useful in maintaining and nurturing both our market and client relationships.
