Summit, a provider of workers' compensation insurance services, has launched its redesigned WriteNow online quoting service.
Summit’s WriteNow system was originally launched in 2001 and served agents as a submission tool. In 2006, it began offering direct upload capabilities. The WriteNow Online Quoting Service is located on Summit’s website and can be used by all agencies that do business with Summit.
Lynn Houser, vice president of underwriting at Summit, said: Many systems ‘lock’ an account once it is submitted, forcing agents to call, e-mail or fax needed changes. In the new WriteNow, agents can edit and update their submission data or add comments and file attachments during the underwriting process. The new system really allows agents and underwriters to interact online more effectively.
