London-based Starr Underwriting Agents, a unit of Starr Companies, has deployed Sequel’s (re)insurance software system, Eclipse, replacing its old underwriting system.
The new Sequel’s Eclipse underwriting system has been implemented by Starr to manage all of the firm’s Lloyd’s, companies and non-bureau London business.
Starr Underwriting Agents’ chief executive Steve Blakey said, "Going live on target has allowed us to modernise swiftly and effectively so we can do better business."
The strategic suite of business applications, Sequel Eclipse features 100% Microsoft technology to share a common business and technical architecture.
Sequel sales and marketing director Michael Graham said Sequel and Starr team have worked closely to ensure that the whole process was a seamless experience.
Starr provides property, casualty, and accident & health insurance products as well as a range of specialty coverage including aviation, marine, energy and excess casualty insurance.
