Williamsville-based Stahlka Agency has acquired Western New York practice of Historic Square Insurance Agency and following the acquisition, Stahlka's existing Orchard Park office will be merged with Historic Square's office in Orchard Park, New York.
Historic Square’s managing partner Stephen Gutting said that the sale will assist to strengthen business while focusing on Erie area.
Stahlka Agency president Mark Stahlka further added that the strategic acquisition will help expand the firm’s business in Western New York.
"Jerry Vigneron of North Bridge put together a deal that’s a win-win for both buyer and seller," Stahlka added.
Stahlka Agency is a unit of EMS Group and EMS Financial Services while the Historic Square provides all personal and commercial lines to its clients.
Concord-based North Bridge Advisors is a consulting that focuses on insurance agency acquisitions and mergers.
North Bridge Advisors, an agency providing all lines of coverage in the Western New York market, served as advisor to Stahlka for the deal.
