Florida-based St. Johns Insurance, a property and casualty insurance provider, has expanded its operations in the South Carolina homeowner insurance market in the US – reported in Insurance Journal.
St. Johns focusses on personal lines of insurance by providing insurance to more than 200,000 policyholders in Florida. Initially, the company had stated that it will offer insurance for single family dwellings as well as condominium units.
Reese Bowen, president of St. Johns insurance, said: We have had South Carolina in our plans for expansion from day one. Our familiarity with the state through our business partners allows for a very smooth entry into the South Carolina market.”
