Selective Insurance Names New Management Team

Selective Insurance Group, a holding company for property and casualty insurance company, has named a new senior vice president and appointed several executives to its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America.

Selective has promoted Jennifer DiBerardino to senior vice president, treasurer. Ms DiBerardino joined Selective in 1997 and held various finance positions before her most recent promotion to vice president of Selective’s investor relations department in 2006.

The appointment for the Selective Insurance Company of America inlclude:

Douglas Holbrook as senior vice president, chief claims officer. Mr Holbrook joined Selective in April 2010. Previously, he served as vice president, Claims-Property, SIU and Training for Hanover Insurance Group.

Susan Sweeney to senior vice president, chief investment officer. Ms Sweeney joined Selective in April 2010. Prior to that, she served as senior managing director for Ironwood Capital in Avon.

Scott Betlesky to assistant vice president and field operations manager for Selective’s New Jersey Region. Mr Betlesky joined Selective in march 2010. Prior to that, he was the New Jersey branch manager for OneBeacon Insurance.

Scott Crump to as assistant vice president, property line of business manager. Mr Crump joined Selective in march 2010. Prior to that, he was a program underwriting manager for United National Group.

Debra Maizys to assistant vice president, actuarial commercial lines pricing manager. Ms Maizys joined Selective in 2001 as an actuarial assistant and has held a variety of positions in the actuarial department.

Cassie Masone has been named as assistant vice president, flood operations. Ms Masone joined Selective in 2000 and has held positions in the company’s internal audit and reinsurance departments.

John Vessecchia to assistant vice president, auto line of business manager. Mr Vessecchia joined Selective in march 2010. Prior to that, he was a commercial underwriting manager for Kingsway America.

Kimberlie Weisse to assistant vice president, workers compensation line of business manager. Ms Weisse joined Selective in April 2010. Prior to that, she was the underwriting vice president for the specialty workers compensation division at Chartis/AIG.
