To improve its decision-making capabilities

SECURA Insurance, a Wisconsin-based mutual, property and casualty insurance company, has selected Millbrook’s Insurance business intelligence solution for advanced data warehousing and modeling. It is expected to help the organisation improve its decision-making capabilities across lines of business.

SECURA licensed Millbrook’s three core insurance business intelligence products that include: enterprise data warehouse (EDW), operational data store (ODS), and extract/transform/load (ETL). The move is aimed at equipping the business with the tools it needs to analyze its premium and loss data across the company to make business decisions moving forward, based on a single version of the truth, said the company.

Jeff Bemis, vice president of information technology at SECURA Insurance, said: “We needed a business intelligence and data warehouse and modeling solution provider that could help us improve business performance by giving us the capabilities to dig into our customer data and uncover meaningful trends and insight that could drive more knowledgeable decision making. We selected Millbrook because of their world-class solutions and for the high level of insurance industry proficiency they demonstrated to us early on.”

John Search, executive vice president of Millbrook, said: “Our advanced insurance-specific products will help SECURA turn their raw customer data into rich business intelligence which will help them drive greater business performance. Once our solutions are implemented we are then going to empower SECURA with the knowledge and expertise they need to carry on self-sufficiently across their various lines of business.”
