Japan's property/casualty insurer SBI Insurance has deployed Guidewire Software’s InsuranceSuite service for underwriting, policy administration, billing and claims management.
The new solution will be implemented by SBI Insurance for its Cancer Insurance, aimed to provide high levels of flexibility and scalability with the insurer’s information systems policy of "compact systems" and "compact operations."
SBI Insurance director Kazunosuke Fujioka said, "As a result, we will be able to implement a system that meets our demands in terms of superior quality, agility and cost-effectiveness."
Featuring enhanced functionality and superior cost-effectiveness, the system will also enable the company to be able to make changes and upgrades to the systems in-house.
Designed using a modular approach, Guidewire InsuranceSuite enables insurers to select individual applications including its PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter.
