India's private insurer SBI General Insurance has signed an agreement with My TVS and India Assistance to offer emergency roadside assistance to its policy holders anytime and for any car in India.

SBI General Insurance Managing Director and CEO RR Belle said the company plans to rapidly expand its motor insurance business in 2012 coupled with a robust technology platform and paying claims efficiently.

The policy ensures round the clock assistance at over 1,600 locations in 20 Indian states (except Jammu&Kashmir and North Eastern states in India) by charging the policy-holders about INR36paise per day.

The partnership will also offer the customers with services like towing, flat tyre and battery jump start that can be availed even when the vehicle is down due to non-accidental reasons and is extended to vehicles as old as eight years.
