Safety National has appointed Raymond Harkins, Jr. as senior vice president. He will lead the company’s Assumed Reinsurance efforts.
Mr. Harkins joins Safety National from his most recent position as vice president of Casualty Underwriting at Endurance Specialty Insurance, in Bermuda. In that position, he was a key participant in the development of Endurance’s casualty reinsurance portfolio from the startup Bermuda platform.
Mr. Harkins has also held treaty underwriting positions with Scor Reinsurance, Everest Reinsurance and Munich American Reinsurance. He also directed ceded reinsurance operations for the Crum and Forster Group.
