US-based RLI has named Aaron Diefenthaler as the new vice president (VP), chief investment officer (CIO) for continued profitable growth of its business.

In his role, Diefenthaler will be responsible for overseeing the company’s investment strategy, policy, asset allocation as well as for selecting, monitoring and evaluating RLI’s external investment managers.

Diefenthaler will report to RLI vice president, CFO Thomas BrownI.

Before joining RLI, Diefenthaler served as a principal and portfolio manager at AAM Insurance Investment Management and managed investment portfolios for various insurance companies.

RLI, a specialty insurance company, offers a diversified portfolio of property and casualty coverages and surety bonds serving niche or underserved markets.
