Insurance brokerage firm Risk Strategies has acquired New York-based Krauter & Company, a firm offering risk and insurance services provider, for an undisclosed amount.

Risk Strategies stated that the acquisition expands key practice by bringing on board a national boutique brokerage focused on risk management and liability needs of private equity fund and portfolio companies that are served by Krauter & Company.
Established in 2004, Krauter serves more than 185 private equity firms and thousands of portfolio companies. The company is known to be a specialty firm focused on risk and insurance services provider for private equity funds.
The company continues to lead the industry in design and placement of tailored transactional risk products, such as Reps and Warranties coverage and Tax Opinion insurance. It also offers M&A due diligence, employee benefits analysis, and a keen focus on total cost of risk for its PE clients.
Additionally, Krauter also works with large, nationally recognized companies across a wide variety of industries such as accounting, airlines, staffing and restaurants.
Outside of its New York City headquarters, Krauter operates from eight additional offices across the US, including Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, and Boston.
