RGA Reinsurance Company of Australia (RGA Australia) has promoted Mark Stewart to serve as its new managing director, with immediate effect.
Stewart has served as the company’s interim managing director since November 2012, managing all of the unit’s business activities.
Prior to the appointment, he worked as RGA Australia’s chief financial officer and appointed actuary.
RGA Canada chief executive officer and Mortality Markets global head, with executive responsibility for RGA Australia Alain Néemeh said Stewart shares the company’s vision of working closely with customers in Australia and New Zealand to drive their growth and success.
Established in 1996, RGA Australia is a subsidiary of Reinsurance Group of America (RGA), which is a provider of individual and group life, annuity, health, critical illness, and structured reinsurance.
RGA Australia offers reinsurance support to customers across all major lines of business in Australia and New Zealand.
