Alex Barned will be responsible for enhancing the image and credibility of the Questar brand in the independent broker/dealer community
Questar Capital (Questar), a division of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz), has named Alex Barned as the new chief distribution officer.
In this new role, Barned will be responsible for enhancing the image and credibility of the Questar brand in the independent broker/dealer community and attracting registered reps to the firm. Barned has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Kevin Bachmann, chief executive officer and president of Questar Capital, said: “Alex brings a high level of expertise to Questar that will be crucial as we continue to enhance our brand image and engage new representatives. Barned comes to Questar from UBS Financial Services where he most recently served as executive director of the Minneapolis market, responsible for five Minnesota offices.
