Australia's QBE Insurance Group has appointed Maureen Robertson as new commercial manager to lead its business in Scotland.
Ms Robertson is joining QBE’s 20-member team in Glasgow, from Aon, where she was broking director for Scotland and the North of England.
Ms Robertson has 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, having initially started her career as an underwriter at Guardian Royal Exchange then moving into corporate broking, with independent Scottish brokers Alexander Stenhouse and Service Miller and Company.
In 1992, Ms Robertson joined Aon Risk Services where, during 18 years, she rose to become broking director for Scotland, latterly taking on additional responsibility for the North of England.
