Prudential, a provider of insurance and financial services, has appointed Tidjane Thiam as its new CFO.
Mr Thiam, who joins the Prudential board with immediate effect, has previously served as the CEO of Aviva Europe. He also held the position of group strategy and development director at Aviva.
Mark Tucker, group CEO of Prudential, said: Tidjane’s background and depth of experience mean that he is well-suited to help lead Prudential to the next stage of its development. He has a great reputation for optimizing performance and value, and I look forward to the strong contribution he will make to the group.
