Prudential is offering the Univita Living program to its long-term care insurance customers to support independent living needs.

Designed by Univita Health, the programme provides access to a single, integrated source for objective, high-quality, personalized guidance to coordinate, manage and share observations and real-time updates about a loved one’s care.

Program members can access a variety of services including assessments to evaluate individuals on factors such as independence, a resource library, and direct access to over 200,000 qualified care and service providers.

The additional benefit offered by the company is based on a survey that suggested drastic increase in the number of aged individuals above 65 years in US and the decrease in the number of working people able to care for a loved one requiring long-term care services over the next 20 years.

Prudential Long-Term Care Insurance vice president Malcolm Cheung said that the program will allow the policyholders to maximize their ability to remain independent and age with dignity.
