US-based Prudential Financial has named Lori Dickerson Fouché as president and COO of Prudential Group Insurance.

Fouché has more than 20 years of experience in insurance industry. In her new role, she will be responsible for the life, disability and voluntary product offerings, sales and account management, as well as service delivery and marketing.

Most recently, Fouché served as president and CEO of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Allianz. PPrior to this, she was associated with Chubb Specialty Insurance for several years serving as senior vice president and in other roles.

Fouché will report to Stephen Pelletier, who will become CEO of Prudential Group Insurance. Pelletier oversaw the business since 2012.

Pelletier said: "We are delighted that Lori has joined Group Insurance at this important time for the business and industry. Her experience will be invaluable as we work toward achieving our goal of sustainable profitable growth."

Prudential Group Insurance provides a range of group life, long-term and short-term disability, and corporate and trust-owned life insurance in the US. The business also offers accidental death and dismemberment, and other ancillary coverages.
