Protective Life Insurance Company has announced a realignment of responsibilities in its life insurance sales organization to enhance the focus and collaboration of its overall sales efforts.

The company distributes life insurance products through Protective Life Insurance Company and through its subsidiary, West Coast Life Insurance Company, focusing on sales through independent agents, brokerage general agencies, and through institutions such as broker/dealers and financial institutions.

Mark Rush, senior vice president of sales and marketing for West Coast Life, and Jeff Marsh, vice president of institutional life sales for Protective Life, will now be responsible for all life insurance sales efforts.

Mr Rush will be responsible for the life insurance sales teams serving both the West Coast Life and the Protective Life Independent agent distribution networks.

Mr Marsh will continue to lead the institutional life sales teams and, in addition, will take on leadership of the company’s advanced sales department.

John Deremo, senior vice president and chief distribution officer of Protective Life, said: Mark’s strong ability to build relationships and drive a collaborative approach will be instrumental in his leadership across the Protective Life and West Coast Life brands.

Jeff’s leadership, along with his financial and product acumen brings strength and focus as we continue to grow our institutional life sales network and build our advanced sales capabilities.
