Primevest Financial Services, a self-clearing broker-dealer, has appointed Michael Burns as its chief compliance officer.

Mr Burns succeeds Kevin Maas who was recently appointed as Primevest’s director of strategic initiatives.

As the newest member of Primevest’s executive team, the company said that Mr Burns will be responsible for guiding the firm’s regulatory compliance and risk management efforts. He will oversee Primevest’s compliance department and will also work closely with ING advisors network risk management.
