PMA Capital has named John Cochrane as the new senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Cochrane joined the company in 2003, initially serving as the PMA Insurance Group’s vice president and controller. In November 2007, he was named as senior vice president of finance.
Prior to joining PMA, Cochrane held several positions within the insurance industry. He began his career at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co in accounting and auditing roles.
PMA Capital president and CEO Vincent Donnelly said that John has demonstrated strong leadership as the top financial executive in the organization and is a valued member of the executive leadership team, and the company looks forward to his continued success.
Headquartered in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, PMA Capital is a holding company whose operating subsidiaries provide insurance and fee-based services. The insurance products include workers’ compensation and other commercial property and casualty lines of insurance.
