UK-based Private Health Partnership, a health insurance broker, has purchased the medical insurance portfolio of Home Counties Healthcare, a medical insurance company, Insurance Times has revealed.

According to the publication, the portfolio of Home Counties Healthcare comprises of corporate clients and group leavers with a premium income of approximately GBP4.4 million, which would make Private Health Partnership’s (PHP) total annual premium income GBP37 million.

As cited in Insurance Times, Jan Lawson, PHP’s managing director, said: This has been an attractive acquisition for us as we are able to absorb the portfolio into our existing infrastructure. PHP is continuing to recruit selectively in all areas of our business so that future similar opportunities can be effectively integrated whilst maintaining a high level of personal service to clients.
