Higginbotham, one of the largest independent insurance firms in the US with more than 20 locations in Texas, hired Bernie Henyon, LUTCF as associate of personal property/casualty insurance. He joins the firm's Fort Worth, Texas, headquarters to provide home, automobile and liability insurance services to high net worth individuals in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

For the past four years, Henyon has been an associate pastor at HighRidge Church in Fort Worth, overseeing 35 life groups and a $5 million capital campaign while counseling congregation members.

Ministry was a career change for Henyon, who owned an Allstate Insurance Company affiliated firm 1988-2011 that sold property/casualty and life products. He was honored with a National Quality Award, Allstate Honor Ring and Allstate National Champion accolades for exceptional sales and service.

Returning to insurance is a career shift that stays true to his talent — cultivating relationships. Henyon says, "I just like talking to people, hearing their stories and doing whatever I can to help them be successful. Whether it’s insurance or ministry, I have the opportunity to learn about people and safeguard them."

Henyon, a 1986 Texas Christian University graduate, is a member of TCU Frog Club, TCU Letterman’s Association and TCU Clark Society. He is a Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) involved in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Fort Worth Chapter.

Higginbotham is a single source for insurance and financial services that brokers business insurance, employee benefits, retirement plans, executive benefits, life insurance and home/auto insurance from more than 250 regional and national carriers.

It supplements coverage with in-house risk management and benefit plan administration services. The firm was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, with more than 20 additional offices statewide.
