Personal Group Holdings, a UK-based provider of employee benefits and financial services, has appointed Mark Scanlon as group CEO, subject to the Financial Services Authority approval.

Scanlon succeeds Ken Rooney, who had temporarily resumed the position of group CEO, and Rooney will continue with his role as director and deputy chairman.

Previously Scanlon spent four years at UK-based incident management and roadside assistance provider FMG Support, where he served as managing director, and became CEO in January 2011.

Prior to FMG Support, Scanlon was general manager and managing director of commercial division at Dyson, where he established a new division of the business in the UK and overseas, launching the Dyson Airblade globally.

Personal Group Holdings chairman Chris Curling said they are delighted to welcome Mark to the board. His track record of building and growing businesses over the last 15 years will greatly benefit the company, and put them in a strong position to respond to the current and future needs of clients.
